I had mentioned what a great couple of nights that it was in Dallas with the main dude of newgrass, John Cowan.. The band was definitely the highlight of the night, but there's more worth mentioning.

Before JCow, and filled with excitement for the upcoming act, my wife and i couldn't help but pay very close attention to the show just prior to Johns. i had never heard of Mando Saenz.before now. But the melodics coming from his voice with the harmonies generated by the Jack Cassidy bass player Bonnie Wheatly reminded me of a more country version of the Sundays. And on Sunday I downloaded his latest effort called "Bucket." It's good stuff. Different. Give it a listen.
